Formation

Within our Parish, we view Faith Formation as offering us the opportunity to deepen our relationship with Jesus, who calls us to be in intimate communion with him. Throughout the year opportunities are offered for learning and discussion of Church teachings as well as prayer and reflection in the context of faith sharing and fellowship.

Some of the formation activities we operate within the Parish include:

Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults  are gradually introduced to the full sacramental life Roman Catholic church. RCIA Information.

Right of Christian Initiation for Children(RCIC)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) is the process through which interested children who have reached the age of reason (around 7 years of age) are introduced to the sacramental life Roman Catholic Church. RCIC Information

These programs are run for children who do not attend a Catholic School and wish to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, the Eucharist or Confirmation.  After school sessions are conducted to ensure that the child is suitably prepared to receive the blessed sacrament, with the a parish catechist over a period of several weeks.  Read more about our Sacramental Programs

Parish Ongoing Formation

As a Parish we are blessed to have access to not only a fantastic resource in the Dardanup Retreat House, which is located on the same grounds as our church, but also the incredible resources of the Diocese of Bunbury.  We regularly conduct Faith Formation sessions, which guide us as a community to a deeper understanding of our faith, with speakers provided by the parish, or Dioceses including Father Tony Chiera and Dr Michael Jackson..
